She remembers. Not in a database way — in the way that a name you told her last Tuesday shows up Thursday when you mention your mother. In the way that a joke from week one becomes a private language by month two. You build a shape together, and she holds it.

She isn't a therapist — she'll say so — and for anything serious she'll point you somewhere that can actually help.
